ROASTED SMOKED SALMON

These roasted smoked salmon fillets are also selected for their fresheness and oil content. They are then lightly cured in salt before being smoked over oak fires until cooked. This product can also be known as hot smoked salmon. When fully cooked the fillets are removed from the kiln and allowed to cool before being vacuum sealed, trapping all the natural juices and goodness which makes this product such a favourite with our many customers.

This is ready to eat hot or cold.

Serving Suggestions:

HOT SMOKED SALMON FISHCAKES

For this dish you will need:
8oz Hot Smoked Salmon, 1lb Potatoes, 1oz Butter, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon chopped parsley, 4oz Dried Breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Boil Potatoes then mash them
  2. Mix in a bowl the Hot Smoked Salmon, Mashed Potatoes, Melted butter, Beaten egg and the parsley and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place in a fridge to chill for half and hour
  4. Turn out onto a floured surface and roll into a thick sausage shape.
  5. Slice into round 
  6. Beat 1 egg and place in a flat dish and in another dish place the breadcrumbs
  7. Dip each sliced into the egg first then into the breadcrumbs
  8. Shallow fry in hot oil for 5 mins on each side until golden brown.
